His ability to take complex messages and reduce them to something so simple, yet in a way that makes them communicate even more effectively is incredible. There’s also a duality about what he does that was perfect for this project, and he’s also an incredibly nice guy as are his agents @agencydu . The illustration was also picked up by the author Stuart Tolley and included in his book MIN: The Simplicity in Graphic Design. Pleasure working with Noma, DU and the team at Greenpeace. ... if you're lucky enough to be in NYC this evening head down to @theholenyc for the opening of JOAKIM OJANEN's (@joakimojanen) exhibition 'SNAKE PIT' PRIVATE VIEW: Friday, March 1st from 6-9pm EXHIBITION RUNS: March 1st - April 14th, 2019 -- The Hole is proud to present the first solo show in New York by Swedish artist Joakim Ojanen, “Snake Pit”. In eight ceramic sculptures and five oil paintings, Ojanen shares his unique universe of duck-billed boys, silly hats, sweaty dogs, hairy legs, soccer balls, trees, clocks, clowns and of course lots of snakes. Pushing his ceramic sculptures into larger and more complex dioramas, each artwork occupies a circular ground and is filled with action best viewed from all sides; a pizza crust topped with excitement! Time flies when you realize that it’s been a decade since we created the mural for the Emirates Stadium. Nice to see that it has remained a fixture of the stadium and loved by @arsenal fans. Thanks to @tavisco1 for the months of hard graft creating this epic artwork and @20.20design for all of the hard work we did to create the art.
