Stuart Daly { Bang & Olufsen }
Stuart Daly was invited by Bang & Olufsen to visit their London flagship store and create a one off speaker design inspired by a piece of music of his choice. Stuart chose Holy Thursday from Songs Of Innocence by David Axelrod. Here's his design inspired by the experience.
Stuart says "David Axelrod is one of my favourite producers and Holy Thursday is one of his greats. I saw him perform this piece at The Royal Festival Hall about 4 years ago and listening to the strings and horns through these speakers was the first time since then that it has sounded as epic as it should. I wanted the illustration to sit effortlessly on the speakers so i chose a dark palette - Holy Thursday also has dark undertones - and a few brighter highlights to reflect the mix of psychedelic rock with orchestral strings."
